Full Version: Setting up port forwarding for your game system on a Huawei gateway

The gateway's default firewall settings block unwanted access from the Internet. Most people don't need to change the default settings. If you're using a game system, you may need to change your firewall settings (set up port forwarding).

1. Log in to your Huawei gateway.

If this doesn't work, call 1.800.SASKTEL (1.800.727.5835) anytime.

2. Click Network Setting > NAT.  Network Setting > NAT

3. Click Port Forwarding.  This screen shows existing port forwarding rules

4. Click Add new rule to forward more ports.


5. Choose or enter the following settings for your game system.
  • Service Name: Insert anything here
  • WAN Interface: LTE
  • Start Port: Enter port number
  • See Port ranges for game systems
  • End Port: Enter port number
  • Translation Ports: Leave blank
  • Server IP Address: IP address of device you want to forward to
  • Protocol: TCP or UDP

6. Click Apply.
