BLACKBERRY TOUR 9630 -- Have Code but no where to input

My Sprint BLACKBERRY TOUR 9630 (USA) does not allow MEP code entry no matter what I do.  I have inserted SIM from alternate carrier; I have inputted 'MEPD', 'MEPPD', 'MEP2' in "SIM Card" menu, etc. but no popup to enter code shows ever.  I even called the carrier to ask to unlock from network but they are useless.

I have the code, now just need popup to enter the code.  Any ideas?

How to Unlock Blackberry Tour 9630?
To enter the unlock code in Blackberry Tour 9630, proceed with the following steps:

1. Switch off the phone.

2. Insert an unacceptable SIM card on your phone.

3. Switch ON the phone.

4. Your phone should ask for MEP network unlock code.

5. Enter the unlock code which is provided by routerunlock.com.

6. Now your Blackberry Tour 9630 is unlocked forever.

If above-mentioned procedure does not work, then,

1. Switch ON the phone.

2. Go to options >> advanced options.

3. Select the SIM card.

4. From the keyboard type the MEPD or MEPPD (text will not appear on the screen, you should enter these details in CAPITAL LETTERS).

5. Now, an “Unlock Menu” will appear.

6. Select the NETWORK field.

7. Type MEP2 or MEPP2 on the keyboard (text will not appear on the screen).

8. Now enter the unlock code which is provided by routerunlock.com.

9. Now, your Blackberry Tour 9630 phone is unlocked successfully.

I sincerely appreciate your reply.  I tried both approaches before and now as you described, but still nowhere to enter the unlock code.  I'm also unable to "Select the NETWORK field" as you instructed.  Not sure what the problem is, but I've pretty much given up and just rooted my old android... yes, not as excited for unlocked android as I would be for an unlocked BB.  Again, I thank you for your help and being a generous being.  Keep up the good work!

How to Enter MSL Code on Sprint BlackBerry Tour (9630):

1) From the mainscreen of the BlackBerry, press the green call button to enter the phone

2) Type in ##MSLCODE then the green talk button (ie: ##123456 Green talk button)

3) In the CDMA service edit screen, delete the number in the first row (000000xxxx) and replace it with your current phone number

4) Press the menu key and choose save

5) The device will re-boot

6) When the device re-boots, Activation Required will be gone and the active carrier name will now appear.
